LARISSA

Larissa's path to mountain biking began about ten years ago when she switched from long distance running and trail running to cycling. The challenges of this sport, especially with her cross-country and enduro bikes, fascinate her immensely. Exploring the beautiful mountains around Zermatt and exciting bikepacking adventures in new countries and cities are among her passions.

Larissa is 27 years old and lives in picturesque Rapperswil-Jona SG. Although she is not from Valais, she has a strong connection to the region due to the challenging and technical terrain she enjoys.

Among her memorable races, the cyclo-cross World Cup in Tabor and the cross-country marathon World Cup in Finale Ligure hold a special place.

Larissa's goals for this season are the upcoming World Championships and the Swiss Epic, both highlights of her MTB career. She will also participate in some smaller cross-country races to show her skills on different terrains. In the winter, Larissa will focus on cyclocross and gain international experience in races throughout Europe.

Outside of cycling, Larissa is an adventurous bike mechanic who customizes her own bikes. She loves the free-ranging Valais black-nosed sheep and dreams of owning a flock if she wins the lottery. Larissa's passions also include bikepacking, camping, gardening and enjoying afternoon coffee by the pool in the summer.

As a process engineer, Larissa's attention to detail and organization is evident in her love of lists. She dreams of one day welding her own bicycle frame.
